The Stanford Achievement Test (SAT10) is a norm-referenced test. This type of assessment compares students' performance to the performance of an identified
norms group. Areas tested include reading, math and langugae.

The related "school ability" test is the Otis-Lennon, 8th edition, or OLSAT8. These assessments are used to report relative strengths and weaknesses of individual students and groups of students.
