November 6, 2018 -- More than two dozen Vestavia Hills students have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Their cause was highlighted during the month of November through Diabetes Awareness Month. Vestavia Hills High School freshman Ben Harwell was selected as Ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s One Walk event in Birmingham in November.
