March 4, 2019 -- Congratulations to Pizitz Robitics Team Imperium members Nancy Chen, Will Steur, Will Tenison, and Savagna Veladandla! Team Imperium competed against the top 60 teams in Alabama (50 are high schools) and won the VEX Robotics Design Award. This qualifies them to move on to VEX Worlds where they will compete against teams from over 150 countries.

The Design Award is presented to a team that demonstrates an organized and professional approach to the design process, project and time management and team organization.
Key criteria:
• Engineering Notebook is a clear, complete document of the team’s design process
• Team is able to explain their design and strategy throughout the season
• Team demonstrates personnel, time and resource management through the season
• Teamwork, interview quality, and team professionalism

Pizitz Team Imperium communicated clearly and wowed the judges with their strategic design and engineering notebook. We are so proud of them! They truly demonstrate character, excellence and family as they represent Vestavia Hills City Schools!
