Standards-based report card implemented for first graders
October 15, 2019 -- Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, Vestavia Hills City Schools is using a new standards-based report card for all first graders.
A standards-based report card provide students and parents with information regarding the student's progress in meeting the state standards for their grade level. All of the academic standards will use a "4-3-2-1" grading scale to track progress, while learning habits and speaking and listening standards will use an "A-M-S-R" grading scale.
