VHCS celebrates National School Counseling Week

national school counseling week February 3, 2020 — Vestavia Hills City Schools is taking part in celebrating National School Counseling Week, which takes place Feb. 3–7, 2020.

National School Counseling Week is an opportunity to focus attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within schools across the U.S. and how students are impacted by their work.

School counselors in Vestavia Hills City Schools are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents; work in partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world; and focus on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, postsecondary, and social/emotional needs.
