April 25, 2022 -- 20 Vestavia Hills City Schools students were selected to send artwork to the 2022 State Superintendent's Visual Arts Exhibit in Montgomery. Submissions were displayed earlier this spring at the State Capitol. One VHCS submission, Hidden Pictures by Vestavia Hills Elementary East student Porter Neely, received an "Honorable Mention" recognition at the state level. All students were recognized during the Vestavia Hills Board of Education's meeting on April 25, and their artwork may be viewed in the slideshow below.
