The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation announced this month that Vestavia Hills City Schools is a recipient of its 2022 Best Communities for Music Education designation. The NAMM Foundation takes into consideration a number of criteria when selecting its honorees, including funding for music education, participation and instructional time in music classes, and community support for music programs. This is the fifth consecutive year that Vestavia Hills City Schools has been honored as one of the Best Communities for Music Education. VHCS is one of only four school districts in Alabama to receive this designation, according to a release from the NAMM Foundation.
